No Iphone Spam filter?

Is there no way to filter spam on the iphone, like my mail program does on my mac?

The only way to do it is to have spam filtering on the server. Here is an article about setting up a Gmail account specifically for that purpose.

For some reason, they didn't add that feature into the mail programs on the iPhone. Probably something they'll add later? Who knows, but it is was mildly irritating to find they didn't have it when I first got the phone. So, I end up opening spam and then deleting it.
