Heya,

So I had my HD crash and burn. Brought my Mac into the Apple store where they replaced it with a new one (HD, had a 300GB they put in a 500GB) for $180. Fine by me, so I boot up my "new" computer, and there is no iPhoto on it? I can't seem to DL it anywhere either. Every time I DL a version it says something like "this is an update for 8.1" can not install"

I have an old external HD with most things backed up on it, but even there if I try to copy iPhoto from that to my "new" desktop or applications folder, it won't launch.

I do not have the original start up or application installer discs. I am running 10.5.8, intel core 2 Duo imac. And even when I try to run the Software update, iPhoto isn't even on that.

Thanks for any help... dunno what I'm doing...sigh

iPhoto is a part of iLife which isn't contained in the OS
It would have been on the second of your install discs

You can request replacement install discs from Apple for a nominal cost
But I am not sure that includes the second disc or not

you cant install an update for iPhoto if you dont have it. the Apple Store just installed OS X on your Mac and not iLife  ask them to install it or for new discs, as MacDawg suggested, as it came with your Mac.
