With no USB drive on the new MBA, how can I reinstall Lion if I urgently need to reinstall it after a major system crash or something?

what if you have a 2010 MBA and paid for the upgrade through the app store?

update: found instructions how to create a USB install drive.

http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/08/make-a-bootable-mac-os-x-10-7-lion-installer-from-a-usb-flash-drive/

also found how to redownload the OS after purchase and installation:

Lion makes a recovery partition on your HDD so when you hold the option key on start up you will see all your partitions (In my case 3 because I have Lion then Bootcamp Win 7 and then the Lion recovery section)

Yes that seems to be true. There's an extra partition which must be recovery media.

Strange how this keeps morphing. The USB solution didn't last long.

What where those round optical things called? :D

How did you load Win7 on your Air? Also, how much space did set for the Bootcamp drive?

Thanks

Can I use the USB trick and put Lion onto my iMac?

Or am I stuck shelling out the $29?
