No live preview of Quicktime files in my Dock

I used to be able to view live previews of a movie playing while it is sitting in my Dock, but now it just shows me a frame or two every couple seconds. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Is there anything else taxing the GPU or even the CPU at the time?

Not that I know of... my system runs great. I never really notice any hiccups in other apps.

Well have you added any obscure plug ins to QuickTime?

Hmm, not sure. I have Flip4Mac installed, but I doubt that changed anything. Are there any Quicktime prefs I can trash? Where are the plug-ins located in Finder?

Edit: I just trashed all pref files associated with Quicktime and the problem is still present.
