So I recently injured my thumb and was unable to click on the home button on my iPhone 8 without feeling some pain. So I enabled the AssistiveTouch home button and made it so that it is only a home button. I find it easier to use, more convenient, and just overall better than before. Even after my thumb is better, I still plan on using the AssistiveTouch as a home button rather than the actual physical home button on my iPhone 8.

You'll be annoyed with Assistive Touch sooner or later. It isn't a feasible permanent solution. Handy on occasion, good accessibility feature, but no way would it ever be a primary UI.
