There was a decent amount speculation regarding the 14th, which would have meant an invite going out today (and if your one of people that thinks there will be a redesign without an event, your a retard). 9 to 5 mac stated on several occasions that the 14th was a lock, as did many other sites. What happened, and more importantly, why hasn't a single site (macrumors, appleinsider, 9to5 mac, tuaw) mentioned the fact that there was nothing today? I know a rumor is just a rumor, but there were multiple sites reporting the same thing. Many people with hate this thread, but Im really frustrated. Any thoughts?

I went into an apple retail store today and one of the employees told me there was an event october 14th, the employee also recommended me to wait before I buy my Macbook Pro.

Please give me my MBP... Using the MacBook Air as the main computer is getting harder and harder each day :(

This site could of at least said something about the lack of invites. After all MacRumors has been targeting this date for quite some time now.

Maybe the guys saying there wont be an invent becaue there arent any softwhere changes are correct. Afterall that was the case with the current macbook

Uh... why would we report on nothing? "In other news, nothing happened... just like Apple said."

What exactly do they need an event to show off that the website couldn't?
"This is our new exterior for the MacBooks (or MBP)"-pics
"These are the specs for our new MacBooks (or MBP)"-specs on site
....?

Edit-Oh wait maybe they're adding a shake to shuffle feature to the MB or MBPs lol

What if its just a silent update for montineva and they are just updating the processors etc and then when Nehalem is released they will do redesigns? isnt the release of nehalem meant to be massive

Lol... that's a tough one though... not many people actually know which one is the noun and which one is the verb...

Dude it's over a year away, if you thought the current MBP design was old now, by Q3 '09 with still no redesign people'd be tearing their hair out.
