I finally saved up $1500 just in time for the refresh, and I now have to wait a month. And let's not even THINK about them releasing it January.

Same here. Buy an iMac for now. I did as the Macbooks are not going to be out anytime soon. Steve Jobs did mention that all laptops will have LED by 2009. So it might mean that we will have to wait until then.
