Has anyone noticed that there isn't a magnet for the Apple remote on the new aluminum iMac? Also, the white remote looks out of place next to the aluminum enclosure. Maybe the current Apple remote is going byebye.

I miss the magnet. It looks messy wherever else I put it.

Easy fix

Simply put the remote on top of the iMac (they are the same width) - or if you have a clutter-free desk, on top of the stand under the display.

Remote Holder

Ok, so I wonder, is anyone producing a holder sleeve for the remote that can be stuck either on the side of the imac or close by? I know I can shove it underneath, but it keeps getting buried under all the crap on my desk, and trust me, if I try & keep it on top if the screen, I'll lose it in a day...

Also, if the magnet was in the computer, and it attracted to the battery in the remote, couldn't I just cut a circle of thin magnetic tape out and stuck it to the side of the screen? Wouldn't that hold the remote in place?

Is there anywhere I should avoid sticking, so as not to cause damage to the drive?

Hmmm.
