I Downloaded smc to control my fans. i set a favorite to like 4000 rpms. then when i apply the favorite, the fans kick up to 4000 for like 3 seconds then go back to 2400 rpms. I have no idea what is wrong. I have tried uninstalling smc and reinstalling. I have also tried reinstalling with different versions incase it was a bug with a newly updated version. please give me some suggestions or possibly fixes. Thanks to anyone who replies with a suggestion.

No matter what i do MBP fans will not go above 2400 rpm
