Selling a like-new iPad with a brand new battery for $350 was the deal of the year in tablets.

Actually I think that Apple is relying on a healthy supply of used iPads being available in the secondary market for $300-400 as being their best strategy for keeping cheapo competitors, selling inferior tablets, out of the market.
