I'm not seeing anywhere to order the Apple Leather case for the iPhone 12 or 12 Pro. Did Apple do away with the Leather? All I see is Silicone cases. Really hope they didn't, I always loved their leather cases.

November 6. The clear cases look the worst with the white ring to cover up the magnets.
Nov 6, which is dumb, I would rather leather, but dont want to go caseless for 3 weeks.

I have a clear magsafe case that I haven't opened. I'll be returning it today since deciding I won't be using anything magsafe. I will, however, get the Apple Leather case, magsafe or not. I've looked at the 3rd party alternatives but with shipping they are as expensive or more expensive than Apple's.
Honestly this is the dumbest thing about this launch. Having a placeholder on the website surely doesn’t harm your sale of other products. Every time Apple does this “coming later” trick I fear the AirPower tragedy would be repeated again.
I’ve been wondering similar. The leather cases were given a date but to me it’s very strange and concerning that they’re not being shown on the Apple accessories page even with a coming soon banner like the cases for the mini and pro max are tagged. Maybe the pandemic has something to do with it too? Or the reports of the ring appearing on the silicone due to MagSafe charging are way worse on the leather? Or a combination of everything?
I’m waiting for the pro max so it’s ok that they’re not out yet. Assuming they actually hit the 11/6 date which I don’t think is a sure thing at all.
This is my second magsafe clear case I’ve had, i exhchanged my first one, within minutes the second one cracked and now the problem is worse, my issue Is that I need a case for the time being until the “leather” comes out and like you I know it’s the greatest Of al evils. I know many swapped out their clear cases to silicones but silicone cases don’t last that long for me.
It has me second guessing my self to be honest, It makes me feel like they literally got Rid of them leather cases for the Magsafe wallet or something!
I’m also curious how the magsafe will be implemented in the case itself or how they plan to mitigate the risk of it damaging the case. Normally Apple doesn’t replace the cases if it was normal wear and tear but the magsafe damaging the case would place this on an another level since it clearly wasn‘t done by me
The silicone cases are cool but they don’t last that long for me and start breaking down super fast, the magsafe ring won’t help i think since it heats it up. I get more grip with the leather cases and I’m curious on the pricing regarding the otter boxes so we will see. Reason I’m curious on the date is because when magsafe came out with the iphone 12 pro, i could go to my local apple store and order them the week so I don’t know, seems weird to wait on them, makes me wonder if it will be available for preorder or just released all together that day...
