i don't think they can do that. They may not be able to take cash on the handheld devices, but somewhere in the store they should be able to take cash. I saw lots of people paying in cash for leopard.

this story has been on a number of different tech sites, but macrumors still hasnt picked it up! it's a iPhone article that should belong in the iPhone blog!

I guess it could , should, maybe be put in the iPhone blog, as it is interesting to others, but there's really not of a story here.

It's not illegal, it just seems that way to some. So Apple wants to keep tabs on who exporters and unlockers are. i guess that's newsworthy? maybe.
