I was somewhat disappointed to find that my old 10.3 standby, CMD-W, that I used in the App switcher to cycle through and hide stuff I didn't need no longer seems to function. I really loved this trick because you could quickly neaten up your work space by hiding stuff, but you didn't necessarily have to quit the apps you were still using. Am I missing something here? Why would Apple take this away? Anyone else notice this already?

I never used command-W in the app switcher in Panther, I did use command-H however, and that still works fine in Tiger. Command-W doesn't hide apps anyway, it closes windows which isn't the same.

Whoops, I didn't actually mean hide apps then, you're right. But I think I still remember using CMD-W to close windows in the app switcher. I used to like this. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
