from reading maccentral many people said they sucked so many people dont care. maybe their lawsuit is just a way to get some cash since they are closing down. but since the suit has nothing to do with them closing down, from reading stuff it looks like they may have a strong case, i will be curious to hear what apple has to say in court.

Mac users closed us down

no, not even close, they weren't good.

Elite Computers was THE BEST MAC RETAIL OUTLET EVER! Every one of us "sales staff" was an expert in out field. We spent hours answering questions in the first real Mac Genius Bar. But you guys would pick our bains then buy online. Sure we wre a little on the pricey side but where else could you go talk Mac with someone and actually be learning the whole time. I would spend hours of my time trying to help customers make an educated purchase just to have them go order off of Apples website.

Apple didnt help either. Making promises to deliver product only to not do so. They would tell us to be expecting a shipment and then back order for months. But thier stores had tons of product. I really hated Apple for what they did to this shop.

And out customer base. Anyone who was anyone in the bay area would shop at our store. I spent hours with Steve Wozniak and other royalty in the land of computing. We had Super midnight releases! OS 10 was a biggie.

So if you thought we were nothing special, oh well. But to a lot of Mac users we were something special. We were a place were you could come get an answer you know had backing. We even helped you after you would pick our brains and got buy elsewhere. We still treated you like family. Because we were all MACUSERS!

Best thread necromancy ever!

^^^^ I agree you seem hard done by, but have you really been holding sour grapes for over 6 years? Does this issue still dominate your days and nights, do you still pour out your thoughts late at night with various understanding barkeeps?

Were you perhaps one of the store founders?

PS Did Apple even have an online store in 2002/3?

From wikipedia:
Less than a year after acquiring NeXT in the final days of 1996, Apple opened an online store on November 10, 1997, built using NeXT's WebObjects web application technology. WebObjects had previously been used by Dell to build its online store. After NeXT was purchased by Apple, Dell scrambled to recreate its store using tools from Microsoft.[citation needed]
WebObjects enabled Apple to build and deploy its online store within a year. Steve Jobs announced that the new online store received over US$12 million in orders in its first month of operation.[1]

I bet it looked horrific (in 1997) compared to it's current iteration :p...

Sorry to hear that - it seems more likely you fell victim to Best Buy selling Macs instead of the Apple Store. I know the Apple Stores around here are so busy, some go to the resellers (who are also very, very, good) so they don't have to wait.
