What the hell, I just upgraded and now the finger swipe to go back/forward in safari on my magic mouse doesn't work anymore. Am I missing something?

Yes, you're missing something.
The preference was reset to OFF during the upgrade for whatever reason.
Go to System Settings \ Mouse and fix it there.
