I just noticed that iMac G5's were no longer on the Apple Store site.
Is this new or old news?

Yes, it's old news. You can buy refurbs from the Apple web sites, Special Deals section.

It happened sometime last night because I checked earlier yesterday and they were there.

They didnt completely update the website. If you click on "Hardware", it still lists iMac G5 under PowerPC desktops, and the iMac G5 site is still there too. But if you click buy now, it just takes you to the new Store page (w/o the iMac G5) Also, on the Hardware page, it says iMac G5's start at $1299, but when you click on it, the iMac G5 site says it starts at $1499. It's all screwed up... and who knows how long it will take for Apple to delete the iMac G5 page... they never updated the PowerPC Mac mini page when it was upgraded in September.

Shipping times

I know this may be off topic, but since we're talking about Apple Store changes I thought I might point out that MacBook Pro ship times went from
2-3 weeks down to 7-10 days. :D:D:D

And this from another thread today...

Just noticed that the shipping time has increased from 24 hours to 4-6 business days for the intel Mac mini. Wonder why this is happening. Are the orders that strong for the mini?
