The in-store pickup option seems to have disappeared from the Apple site.
Anybody else seeing this? If you can register for in-store pickup, please supply a direct link. I'm just not seeing the option.
It seems they may have run through the stock allocated for in-store pickup...
FWIW, here's what I did:
1. Go to http://www.apple.com/iphone/ (This is where the "iPhone" link at the top of the main Apple page takes you.
2. Click on "start here" under "Apple Retail Store". That takes me to: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone
There is no "in store pickup" option on that page. Only "pre-order" buttons, that take you through the on-line pre-order process with the faulty ATT account check.
P.S. I was able to reserve for in-store pickup via the new Apple Store app on my iPhone. There's also an ordering option there. Gonna try that now... Nope.... "There was a problem connecting to the server Please make a reservation at your nearest Apple Retail Store, where a Specialist will be ready to help you." So, I guess I'll show up at the store on the 24th and see if they have it figured-out by then. Much rather deal with Apple than ATT any day, anyway.
I did get a confirming email for my in-store pickup. LOL, under "Your Rate Plan" it says: "Plan includes"" (blank)
