What the hell!!
The ipad3 is vanished on apple.com :(
Now they are only selling the ipad2 & the ipad4 ?
Why didn't they get rid of the ipad2 instead of the ipad3?

Now all of us have a "new" ipad that doesnt exist anymore....

It is a confusing mess, but I think Apple needed to stop producing the 3rd gen's in order to ramp up 4th gen production. It's also likely a price decision. It's more cost effective to continue to sell iPad 2 than it is to reduce the price of 3rd gen iPad that just released this year.

It also makes it so the iPad 2 and the iPad Mini compliment each other and offer the lower-tier market Apple wants to meet.

The good news is that we know that the iPad 2 is going to continue to be well supported for a few more years.

Since the iPad 4th gen still only has a dual-core CPU I am curious to see what the benchmark scores are in comparison.

If you want a 3rd gen iPad you can get a 16GB wifi only for less than $400 in the Apple Refurb store => http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipad/ipad3/wi_fi

The refurbished price is excellent. I'm actually tempted to get that instead of a 4.

Great, now i already have 2 "limited edition" Apple products! :D

-Macbook unibody
-ipad3

Maybe i will also keep my "limited edition" ipad3 like i did with my "limited edition" macbook unibody :D
