No mountable file systems... tried all fixes on internet but none worked

Every time I try to mount a dmg file, it gives me a window saying "No mountable file systems". Also, I cannot mount my CDs and DVDs after I insert them into my disc drive, nor can I mount my Windows partition: it tells me to run first aid on the selected volume.
