Ok I don't know if this is a WatchOS7 issue or iOS14 issue or a combo of both...

In either case, my sleep alarm no longer makes a sound on either the watch or the phone (Xs). Actually, that's not entirely true. There are two scenarios:

1) Alarm makes no sound but haptics on watch do vibrate at alarm wake up time - this is the most common occurrence. Haptics aren't quite strong enough to wake me though without some sound. Once it's gone off for a while it stops and doesn't try to wake me again (I feel like there may have been an auto snooze before but now I can't remember) so I've slept late a couple of times now.

2) Twice I have tried changing my sleep schedule alarm just for the 'next wake up only'. In both cases the 'next wake up only' was earlier than the normal alarm. And in both cases the early wakeup alarm made no sound but the alarm still went off again later at the normal time too(!) as well, on the same morning, and DID make a sound.

So far, the above two scenarios are all I've experienced and I cannot get the alarm to make any noise at the required wakeup time when on a schedule. All settings appear correct.

I've turned both the watch and phone on and off to no help.

Good spot. It was! In fact I've just realised the issue is the phone. The watch never made the alarm sound it was just vibrating and the phone made the noise. So the issue lies with the phone. I'm clearly not thinking straight, despite the extra sleep my silent alarm is giving me!

I dont care for the sleep alarm setup. I used Bedtime prior and liked the soft rising tones from the phone. Now, I use sleep and at the same time a regular alarm using the same wake up tone I used before.

Yep bedtime was fine for me! Maybe I'll try switching to a regular alarm instead and see how I get on with that.

I use both so I can track sleep. I use Autosleep as well since its been around longer than the included feature. I found the bedtime sounds online so use those for my alarm and to me it all feels the same. The only thing extra is I have to turn off two alarms each morning but both are done on the watch.

Hey, I am also quite confused and made several tries but always failed.

There are times where I want the apple watch to only sound, sometimes I want it to only vibrate.
Is there a way to achieve this?
