No notification on app

Mainly my Facebook App but some apps like paypal and sometimes Echofon for twitter doesn't notify me?!

Any reason why this is happening or anything I can check?

I have checked the notifications in te settings and they are all turned on, sometimes they notify me, sometimes they don't. The FaceBook app is awful for this happening

Any help or advise?

The way notifications are displayed on the phone will not change the spotty record of push notifications for applications. For whatever reason push notifications are not 100% and I often don't get notifications I should have gotten. Facebook, Whatsapp, Beejive and Twitter have all failed to notify me of events. Sadly Apple will never allow apps to fully multitask so we have no choice but to rely on the unreliable push notification system.
