I was looking forward to finally getting an OLED

Now I don't know what to do (I'm using 7), I don't need such an expensive Pro phone

For such price who still puts LCD into the phone?

Yea I want true blacks on my display

They have to keep the price low somehow and the screen is one of the main compromises between the 11 and the Pro. The 11 screen will still look great and be an upgrade from your 7.

why doesn't this have a fast charger.... seems weird to not include it....

Also $300 for a slightly nicer screen and an extra camera? Seems like a big diff but then they couldn't have justified $200 for an extra camera to the pro version.

But yea Hope the next Base iPhone 12 has 5g and OLED screen.

I also am coming from a 7+ work phone and got pre-approval for 0% financing on the 11.

I don't really care as my other phone (personal) is an XS Max and don't really use any of the advanced features, videos, photos, etc - so the 11 is perfect for me....

I’m glad they still make an lcd version. I’m considering getting the 11 to replace my max. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t notice the lcd after a couple of days. In fact I half suspect the OLED might be straining my eyes so the lcd is actually a draw for me.

If you want an iPhone and OLED. and are in a budget, perhaps a Refurbished X or XS/Max when they come out? Coming from a 7 they would be noticeable upgrades.

Not calling you a fan boy but every other phone has it

A 3rd camera and OLed screen + a better charger cable for $400 more seems a bit much

You realize an OLED panel is expensive right? They can’t bundle all the great features of the iPhone 11 for 600 bucks along with an OLED Panel

I think it’s more along the lines Apple can’t charge 300 more for the Pro if they put oled in the regular iPhone 11.

I went in thinking the same thing but the screen on my wifes XR doesnt look bad at all. if I didnt have the money for a max pro I would get the 11 just fine. videos etc still look good

X refurbs are already available from Apple. $679 for 64gb.

I was one of the naysayers of the Xr because of the lower resolution. Having seen it in person, my concerns vanished. If the 11 had the same screen it does now but had all three camera lenses, I’d have bought it over the Pro and not thought twice about it.

The screens on the X/Xs/11 Pro are undoubtedly nice, and if you watch a lot of HDR movies then it’s probably worth it to get the Pro. But for web browsing, email, video games, I think the 11 screen is excellent.

Apple has to cut costs somewhere to get the 11 to start at $699. If OLED is that important to you, either you pony up for a Pro, or you get a refurb X/Xs, or get an Android. There are a lot of good options!

LED still good for those of us who can’t deal with the PWM on Apples current OLED. It should be a 1080p display though. 11 display is good but would like to see sharper text etc as I can see the difference if only slight.

I had zero complaints with my XR screen, and I have zero with my 11. Even though there have technically been no improvements to it, I find the 11 screen a little brighter and maybe even more “crisp” than the XR. That was with them side by side; same brightness, and same background/apps.

I can’t use OLED, so I am thankful they have the LCD phones.

LCD on the 11 draws less power so better battery life I am finding compared to my other phone: Xs Max which drains much faster on it's OLED screen...

Love my 11 compared to the 7+ I came from.

I don't watch videos, game or other video intensive uses so I don't see any differences between the 11's LCD vs. Xs OLED screen.

I’m happy, that it’s not an OLED!!!
