Just got a tweet from a Verizon spokeswoman who had previously said there'd be a one year option:

Raneybr Brenda B Raney
@jordn613 there will be month to month with no contract. Two yr but no one year.

Deal killer for me then. I guess I'll just wait for the LTE dual-core Android phones to hit in the next few months. I was on the fence about getting the iPhone as I always liked the iPhone (yet hated AT&T) but this will keep me on the Android side. Ah well.

I would still wait for the official announcement.

Unless you're a Texan living somewhere else I hope you know that Verizon is only testing LTE in a few places now. They plan to add only 2 more cities in Texas this year.

when I asked Verizon Rep on the phone, she said there will be 1 year contract but they just don't know the price yet.
Thats what I heard. We never know until OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

You're going to wait even longer?
I thought 4 years was enough:D

You seem to be missing the point of the thread. There is no 1 year.

There has been no official announcement to that affect. We have some reps saying one thing and others saying something else. I think the real answer is that the reps really don't know yet and are guessing.

Wait for something official.

Remember all the threads that "so and so" said there would be no verizon iphone this year? Did people not learn anything?

Except those few places in Texas include Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Those are the 4th, 6th, and 9th largest cities in the country. So while the list is short, it's nothing to sneeze at either.

HUH? Are you implying there is no LTE in Texas?
