the built in speakers pan just fine, but there is no sound coming out of my right channel of audio for the headphones coming straight out of the imac with the 3 pairs of headphones I've tried, AND even my maudio profire 2626 interface (headphones AND speakers only push a signal down the left channel). That's really bizarre to me. even when I switch to mono, I hear nothing in the right speaker/headphone/etc.
I have:
- restarted the computer
- checked all the preferences/sound settings to make sure I wasn't muting or panning anything.
- reinstalled my maudio drivers
- reset maudio config
- searched endlessly for an answer to this on the google.
does anyone have any idea why one audio channel would be not making it to its destination. my maudio software shows the audio passing through the cpanel on both channels. it's just not making it out of the box. EG:
