Any other thoughts on this? Really disappointed about this!

There has to be a complete overhaul to support the photostream and icloud features. Kinda hinted at it by saying that you can save a photo from photostream on your iOS device by putting it into an album...kinda implies much greater functionality in the program

They just didn't spend anytime on it during the keynote...wait until the dev's can breakdown the beta's

There has to be.

It would be stupid otherwise.

If you keep receiving photo's from other devices into your iPad, only a moron would insist they all had to be dumped and always stay in just one default received photo's folder.

There HAS to be a way of making a folder on the iPad called "Kids Party" and move those photo's coming from your iPhone into this new folder.

It would be crazy otherwise.

From Engadget:

...and a new photo editor with a basic feature set that includes cropping, rotating, red-eye reduction, auto-enhance features, and the ability to create albums on the device.

While image editing tools are welcome additions, I am more eager to see photo management and organization features (e.g., rating, tagging, creating albums).

Hopefully they fixed the landscape screenshot rotation issue,
or at least allow for edited rotated photos to overwrite the original...

Any devs can test?

Yes, they fixed it. The app appears to be a bit buggy though. When you open a screenshot made with the iPad in Albums, the app crashes. Opening it from Photos or Photostream seems to work.
