No Podcast Options in iTunes

Somehow, Podcasts are completely disabed in iTunes.

They aren't in the left menu.
The option is unclickable in the preferences pane.
Subscription buttons are grayed out in the App store.

What gives? I have no idea what caused this. I use my iTunes account to get podcasts while I'm at work, but there's just no option to subscribe or even PLAY podcasts that I pay for.

What did I do?

Anyone?

I've been googling for this problem, I can't seem to find a reference anywhere as to why Podcasts would be completely disabled.
