No pre-order for iPhone 4... Worth going down on launch day?

Hiya...

As per title, I've not pre-ordered an iPhone and live in between Leicester Apple Store and the Sheffield Meadowhall Apple store. Never been down on a launch day before so had a few questions...

Is it worth going down - am I likely to get one without a reservation?
Any recommendations on which of the above stores to go to?
What time would be a good idea to go down? (not stupidly early)
Any ideas how long I will be queuing for? (Gotta get back to work)

If I were you I would be at the store door the day AFTER release day as there were many like me that reserved a iPhone 4 for pick up but will not do it as ATT will deliver mine instead. I did it for "insurance". These now un-picked up phone are sold the next day, on a first come basis!
