no printer driver...work around?

i have a lexmark Z645. and there is no driver for mac OS. im wondering if using a driver for a similar printer would work?

I take it you've tried the generic drivers?

Either that or yes try out different Lexmark ones, preferably from the same model "family". e.g. - Zxxx

how do i find the generic ones?

Just go to install a printer as usual:

System Preferences>Print & Fax>Add (+)

Go through the steps til where it asks you to select your driver, select "Generic PS driver" something like that, heading out now so can't run through the process to give you a step by step run down.
