No (proper) iBooks store in Japan?

Is there no proper iBooks store in Japan? Not only can I not find the SJ biography but everything is old and free "classics" I can find at an online garage sale.

I don't see a nice store front that you'd see on Amazon or something. Just rows of old books with no covers. All plain beige covers for old medieval "classics".

Where are all the regular books?

Used to be like that in Norway aswell. You havent gotten the "real" bookstore yet

There are legal issues in every country for distributing ebooks. Apple has not managed to work thru them everywhere yet

Well I'd really like to get the SJ biography. Wondering how I can do this. I'm in Japan but maybe I'll have to login to iTunes Canada and use my Mum's credit card. I'll give it a go.
