I wonder if Apple really isn't doing pre-orders, because right now it looks like we won't be able to make online orders until the ship date of April 10th...the same day the Watch pre-orders go live.

My understanding is that the MacBook will be available from April 10, which made people think Apple would take pre-orders before this date. Now we're being told that you can order from April 10.

I'm assuming Apple are planning/hoping to have enough stock to cover all new orders from April 10, so order then and you'll get it next day. Or from an Apple Store.

Well that sucks. But I guess I understand why, they are still ramping up production and need to be absolutely sure. I'm going to configure-to-order the 1.3 GHz processor, so I guess I'm looking at April 17th or so.

I guess it also makes it easier for Apple to make it available at the same time the Watch pre-orders go up.
