No push notifications for facebook chat.

I have the official facebook app and I don't get notifications for chat messages anymore.

It's not a problem in the configuration panel, because the push notifications are activated and I get push notifications for other activities in facebook normally.

I tried reinstalling the app and even reseting the whole gadget.

So, I need help.

Hm that is odd. Do you have another mobile device that you can see if this happens on? I personally don't have this issue. My last recommendation I could suggest would be sign out of Facebook on that device completely and delete the app. Then reinstall

That worked for Facebook messenger but not for normal Facebook app thx


Too bad the Facebook messenger app is not adapted to full size ipad

I think Facebook is trying to get users to use the messenger app for messages. And if you have the messenger app then all your message notifications will go though it instead of the Facebook app

Yup and I have the autoupdate for apps active, so I don't have an old version or anything.

So i did a full restore and intalled facebook from the app store instead of the "Pre link install" and now i get the push with no probleme
