iPhone No quick reply for 4s?

I'm not able to do quick reply on my 4s from lockscreen & from notification center like Apple showed us on WWDC... Quick reply works when message pops up and by swiping down , I'm able to do a reply but otherwise i only see a cross to dismiss the notification from notification center..
Can someone confirm this?
 
Works fine for me here. Try restarting.

Fyi: You have to swipe to get the option.

you have to turn on previews to quick reply from lockscreen and nc.

Yeah, swiping gives me only a cross option.. No reply option..
Did a restart.. Nothing happened..
Is your message preview on or off?

Just got it working..
I was thinking to go back to iOS 7.1.2
Windows is still open..
iOS 8 really sucks on 4s.. 3rd party keyboard lags... Animations are choppy.. Frequent heat ups.. And I can feel there are many bugs that Apple hasnt figured out.. Like while clicking the globe icon The Predictive text toggle wont turn off..
App Updates are there but no notification count is showing on App Store icon..
Nc weather shows me moon icon while text displays Sunlight with max of 35deg
There are few more..
All these issues I've faced with my one day usage..
What about you? Are you in the same boat?

Yep. iOS 8 is bad on the 4S for many of us.

I would downgrade if I could, but for some reason I can't downgrade and restore from my iOS 7 made backup. Apple screwed me over there. I'll just try to manage until they make the necessary fixes.

I mean it should be like after swiping and clicking Reply , i should be able to see the message.. -.-
Replying from lockscreen is very handy but it comes with the cost of some privacy too.. :/ which i dont prefer.. :D

With previews off, you can't see the message in banners, but when you slide down you can see it and quick reply. So you could argue why couldn't you apply to the lockscreen and notification centre?

I would say, perhaps people who turn off previews don't want others reading their texts on their lockscreen, so almost certainly don't want them quick replying from their lockscreen either (or do you need to enter a passcode if the grace period has expired? i'm not sure).

however, quick reply from notification centre (when unlocked) seems like a reasonable demand imo.
