Aloha,

Went to the local Radio Shack this morning to trade-in my 3GS for a iPhone 4, and was told Radio Shack wasn't taking trades in Hawaii. Not much point asking the store clerk "why". Anyone else been told no trades in Hawaii or elsewhere? Could this be a private vs corporate franchise thing?

I also sent an email to Radio Shack, my goal is to reverse the policy before the week is out so I too can have an iPhone 4 for $25.

Any suggestion out there?

Alan

Sell it on craiglist or ebay. Radio shack is making a lot of money for taking your old 3GS phone in for a low price.

Selling my 3GS 16GB myself is a good option, but the convenience of walking in, handing it over, and leaving with a new phone is a better fit for me.

Prices on eBay are good, I watched a used 16GB sell for $271 plus shipping. Better than RS but eBay rips and yada yada...

One nice thing about the RS trade-in (according to posts on MacRumors) is no need to give up the charger and cable.
