Because no podcasts are avaiable via the wifi iTunes store. Howbhe if you subscribe to the podcast on your desktop iTunes it will sync to your phone if you ask it to under the podacasts tab.

Yeah, that is what I thought. But no, the podcast does not sync.

I had the same problem, and I'm PISSED!! haha (little Carl for ya)....It's because it's a .mov file and not a .m4v file, go figure...

I just noticed the podcast is advertised in the itunes wifi store too, what a tease!!! Anyone know where I can download the scotch mist web cast as well as the thumbs down? I've only watched them on youtube. There's an idea...You can just watch them on youtube on your phone. I know the quality won't be there, but it's better than nothing.

I am reminded of how ignorant I am about formats, etc. I had assumed that if you got it from the iTunes store (even if it is a podcast) and that you can play it in iTunes, then the iPod/iPhone would support it. Very frustrating. Makes we wonder if there will be a format war for digital content. Perhaps there already is. I just know don't understand enough about this stuff.

Just open them in quicktime and export to iPhone - file size is a bit larger, but they work.

umm... I have 5 radiohead albums on my iPhone. Including album art.

Edit: well then, I seemed to miss the word podcast. Sorry!

try this

Not all podcast fit directly to your iphone. Just highlight the podcast, the radiohead episode, and under advanced in itunes chose "convert to ipod/iphone". iTunes will then convert the podcast to the correct format and place it in the movies section of your itunes. I use this to convert my .avi clips that I create using my digital camera, works like a charm.

BLESS YOU!!!!!

It's been such heartache not having these podcasts on my phone!!!
