It looks like the Canon s90 has been forgotten about again in the new OS X update. There is however support for the newer Canon s95, does that mean it's not going to happen for the s90 at all then?

I've been hoping for an update for the s90 to see what I can do with the raw images but looks like I'll have to revert to the canon software to work with it.

Anyone have a better understanding if this is accurate?

I upgraded to 10.6.5 last night. I have no problems opening a .cr2 file taken by my S90 in Preview and iPhoto (version 8.1.2 - I don't use iPhoto so i don't spend my money for the current version). Finder's Quick Look facility seems to work fine with this file as well. I don't have Canon's bundled software installed on either of my computers.

Whatever is going on with your computer would appear to be specific to your computer.

Thanks for that, I'll have to have another look at that then...looks like I've no more excuses now.

Thanks again
