Since they still show the 27" iMac as a separate product my guess is later this year when they replace that with a new hopefully 30" iMac with a M1X or M2 then it will be worthwhile. It does have 4 USB-C ports though, however only 2 of them being TB

My first Mac (M1,512, 16) and I am happy as a clam. My only issue is when
I want to post an image there aren't small images to look through without
clicking on each file.

I wanted to upgrade from my trusty 2012 27 iMac for a while, and today, after seeing the iMac announcement, I decided to abandon iMac and went with mac mini. I ended up buying a refurb Mac mini 16GB/1Tb + Dell 27" 1440p Ultrasharp monitor. I don't need 4k/5k monitor, and 24" was too small, so this iMac was out of the question. At this point, waiting for a bigger iMac (which would be for sure nice) is also pointless, seeing how this model with 16GB and 1TB would cost me $2100 or more (assuming the same upgrade pricing as Mac mini). I could only guess that a 30-32" model with similar specs would be another $500 or more. Can way to play with my mac mini.
