No recovery partition after format/install

Any ideas on what I might have done wrong here? I'm not getting the recovery partition from a fresh format install of 10.11



This is the command line I used to create my USB installer:

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction

Try a command-r boot instead of the option key boot you did.
