I'm living in Europe for a year and was surprised when a friend told me that she had played PAL 2 on her macbook with no problem. I have the same notebook and so I bought a PAL region 2 DVD and played it also with no problems. Today I did some research on PAL to find out why this was so easy and discovered that it shouldn't be connected to region. I then checked the number of region changes that I have left and found that it was down to 2! I've never purposefully change the region so it seems that Tiger has been changing my region without ever prompting me when I put in a DVD. I've switched over to VLC as my default player so hopefully I won't get stuck. Has anyone else had this problem?
