No Reviews/Unboxings Yet? When is Review Embargo Lifted?

With pre-orders going up tomorrow morning, I'm surprised Apple hasn't lifted the review embargo yet!

They probably won’t happen until right before they ship. I’m not expecting reviews until sometime mid May.

Hmm, you'd think they'd want people to see the reviews then pre-ordering..

That's what I've been waiting for at least, to see what reviewers say/initial impressions

They were ready to go and ship. Presumably, the iMacs aren’t. Hence the 2-3 week wait for them.

Most Apple products don’t have reviews before preorders. iPhones never do. Reviews are almost always within a few days of hitting customers hands.

It’s the airtags that we’re the exception to the rule. Preorders almost always start before reviews are out.

The main difference at the moment is that there are usually some hands on reports from the release event, which obviously aren’t happening now.
