Hey all!

My first post here and I'm hoping that after all the previous help I've had from Macrumors will carry on and someone will be able to help me out.

I dropped my iPhone 3g a couple weeks ago and the speaker stopped working. I replaced the whole speaker/ dock / antenna / mic part but the part I bought was seemingly defective as the speaker was very crackly and distorted and the mic wasn't soldered on correctly. I now, however, have another new part. Now the microphone is working fine, but I'm back to square one where the phone vibrates, but makes no sound at all from ringtones, ipod, anything.

Have held the home and lock button to reset, and restored in itunes (to a backup) but no joy. So my current situation is a working iphone, bar the speaker.

Anyone......??
