I have a jailbroken iphone 4G and I am trying to upload some ringtones I've previously used on my iphone 3. I am not using Windows and therefore not using Itunes.
I have read stuff on the forums and I have attempted to do the following.
I installed OpenSSH from Cydia and can login using a SSH client ( putty ) via Wifi.
I login to the iphone as root but in the Library folder there is no subfolder called Ringtones.
So, I'm stumped.
Can someone point me the way ?
Thx,

look for any files ending with the extension .m4r, that should be the extension that ringtones use.

Good luck.

Good luck.
I found that by going up a few levels using cd .. I was able to find the correct Ringtones folder with the .m4r files.
I am struggling with the syntax to copy the ringtones from my ubuntu box over to the iphone.
When connected via SSH to the folder parent folder of Ringtones what do I t
cp \myubuntubox\pathtofile ringtonetest.m4r Ringtones

??
Can someone assist ?
