There will be no G5 @ NY.

I wonder, what id***s say: maybe there will be a G5 at WWDC ?!??!?!?

Apple normally brings updates every 6 Months not every week.(or months)

My comment to the G5 and the article on macrumors.com :

1.0 GHz, 1.2 GHz, and dual-1.4 GHz G4's
DDR 333 MHZ
ATA 133 support
4 64 bit PCI
1 AGP
Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire, USB
60, 80, and 120 GB drives
New Superdrive, and faster CDRW.
Built-in Bluetooth
$1599, $2299, and $3299.


This specs look very realistic, the earlyest news and rumors reported us that the G5 starts @ 1,6GHz but then it started, on every MW somebody says there will be a G5. Every day I read this s***.

It´s simple:

1.0, 1.2, 2x 1.4 @ MWNY

And maybe G5 on MWSF
then he will start at 1.6 to 1.8 to 2.0

I think this seems logical ?
or ?

and also not @ NY


Its posible that we will see a G5 at SF but not earlier
 
WWDC didn't have a G5, so no biggy, not many people were even realisticly thinking that it could happen by then. But you didn't answer IndyGopher, your statement is no more speculation than the next persons. Unless you base it in fact, with links, quotes, etc., instead of taking a more causious approach, less optimistic, not just calling it so becuase that's what you believe.

This is a rumor site.....what did you expect? Of course someone will always freak out two months before any expos and start saying Apple will come out will all kinds of crap and super dooper ultra advanced stuff.

SPECULATION is the keyword. If you want facts be patient

Your arguments are contradictory. Apple came out with new PowerMacs in late January/early February. I don't think anyone expected G5s at Tokyo.

New PowerMacs are to be expected at MWNY. The truth is that NOONE knows what will be introduced in July, except of course SJ and crew.

Keep your "nearly fact" in the rumors sections where it belongs.

I'm sorry, but did I miss a Steve Jobs announcement somehwere? Did he say what they're releasing at MWNY? No? Ok, then it's not confirmed at all.

I'm not saying I disagree that G4s are more likely than G5s, but people saying they know exactly what's going to happen piss me off.

How can you tell everyone else that posts about the g5, that there full of **** and then pull a whole bunch of crap out of your arse about what will come out.
seems a bit hypocritical if you ask me!

WTF!!!! Dude, WWDC just ended. Who in the hell said anything about G5's being released at WWDC? NOONE! I agree with Rower, to say anything is FACT without it coming from Steve's mouth is just Bantha Foder. Now , I can understand people that say they have a rumor about what is going to happen. Heck I do that all the time. In fact some will remember that these specs are almost identical to what I had said would be released, but do youself a favor, and don't come out swinging, if you don't have anything to back you up. Also, you talk about new G4's in January, and then G5's in February. WTF are you talking about? We are all talking about new G4's in JULY!!! And G5's in SF, or NY next year. Dude, please get your bearings together.

(I can look for this Threads maybe I find them)

I just hate this kind of rumors there is new hardware and some idiots think a month later there will come the next !

Only such rumor are ****, the problem is there are many of them.

You are misreading the threads. People were talking about new power macs being possible just a week ago at the WWDC. Not from the MacWorld in Tokyo. That is all old news anyway. Lets all talk about tomorrow, and NY. Even SF is too far off to talk about, and Tokyo is too far in the past to talk about.
 
Besides, that first tower redesign is likely to be like the yikes transition from g3. let them work out the mobo design bugs as well before slipping a g5 in there.

SPG I actually just heard, that the rumor isn't that the G5 will not be released today, but it's the G5 will not be released tomorrow.... which means that we're in with a chance today!!!!!

Um, I think we passed the transition from g3 milestone on towers long ago...

The point of my yikes/sawtooth comment from g3 mobo was, was that there there was a transition. And it took revision.

Any new g4 and a half tower this summer will have a new mobo, we could probably agree on that. Whether it will have everything worked out that needs to be worked out for a g5 down the road is another matter.
