Not really. I'm very excited!
Given that the most recent tests of the materials indicated it's still not a good choice for a large phone front...shouldn't we be happy about this news?
They never usually announce what the screen is made from do they? Other than the original iPhone they have never confirmed that they even use Gorilla Glass, as far as I'm aware.
You're very excited about the lack of sapphire crystal display?
yes, i'm happy that my screen is still scratchable and i have to buy screen protectors every 6 months again![]()
article said:The results of uBreakiFix's tests show that sapphire is significantly more scratch resistant and 25 percent stronger than Gorilla Glass, but it is much more susceptible to impacts due to its brittleness. The glass is so brittle that it shattered the first time it was dropped face down from a height of only three feet.
I bet the "S" models will have it.
How about adamantium? It's the stuff Wolverine's skeleton and claws are made of
what a letdown![]()
S Models are going to be beast next year. Sapphire screen. 2gb ram. Quad core? 10-13MP I bet.
Some of us actually choose to live in reality.
However not using a sapphire crystal display on the iPhones is no deal breaker for me.
