Needing to pick up a MBA sooner than I had hoped, but haven't heard any new (or rumors) on the scissor keyboard being implemented soon. Is it slated fro Q4 2019?

Thanks!

Oh...I wanted to wait for the scissor version as my 2017 MB has started to exhibit sticky keys. Yes, Apple will fix it (it's with them now), but I'd rather not deal with such issues, as I need something more reliable for travel.

Back in July it was rumoured that a scissor keyboard would come to the Air before the end of the year.
But it's been all silent recently in that regard. There has been noise about the 16" Pro having the scissor keyboard and launching in October but it's really anyone's guess at this point.

Apple is still selling refurb 2017 Mac Book Air models intermittently at the attractive price of $759. They're low-spec 128 GB storage models, but you can upgrade them yourself to about 1 TB with parts for less than $150. They have the non-butterfly keyboard, 2 USB3 ports, magsafe, SDXC slot, and a Thunderbolt 2 port. So if your need is immediate that would be one way to go, although it isn't the new shiny.

There are places like Best Buy and Amazon selling NEW 2017 MBAs for that price from time to time too.
