Okay here's a weird one other than the phone is simply broken finally. Don't laugh but it's an iPhone 6 which has never had issues other then getting a new battery recently. Out of the blue today it started having a "No Service" notice up in the left top corner of the screen instead of the typical reception bar's. Because the phone's trying to find a signal it's also quickly running the battery down including getting hot to the touch.

I'm in an area of good Verizon coverage and the other Verizon phones around have normal service. Can anyone think of a reason why a phone would all of a sudden stop receiving a cellular signal?

This happened a few weeks ago also for a short period of time and I figured I was just having reception issues before it started working normal again. Any suggestions other than buying a new phone? I've obviously tried restarting it without success.

Antenna issue? Based on the age of the phone, it's likely had a few drops.

I've seen low connectivity on iPhone 6 with Wi-Fi and cellular after some big drops.
