New York City
Okay... so I'm up in my 14th floor dorm here in New York City, in which I've always gotten 5 bars of 3G service. I just pulled my iPhone out of my pocket to find no service at all. No 3G, no Edge, no service. I restarted the phone, reset network settings, tried turning off 3G, went downstairs & outside, but still, no service.

I continued to play with it until I eventually found a solution. If I turn off 3G, and then restart the phone, it connects to the Edge network.

What's going on here? If there is something wrong with 3G, why wouldn't it revert back to the Edge network anyway?

Is anyone else from NYC (or anywhere) seeing a problem like this?
I live right off of Union Square.

I dont have any issues at all. Im in the 11th floor of my dorm near washington square park. Its all good here.
