I need to change file permissions on a folder. But when I "Get Info" there is no Sharing and Permissions to click on. I can't find out how to do this anywhere.

Can you post a screenshot of the Get Info window via CMD+SHIFT+4 then it spacebar and select the Get Info window and click?
You can then attach the .png file (stored on your Desktop) to your next post.

What Mac OS X version do you have?

Here is the screenshot. Sorry it took a while, my email was down.

That looks like a shortcut; which I think you don't get to change permissions on because its not on your machine; thus you don't have rights to do so???
- just a guess.

Well spotted - it was a shortcut. So I found the original folder and changed the permissions there.

Much appreciated,
David.
