No shuffle available in genres. WHY?

Because Johnny doesn't want you to listen to all the songs on your phone. That's giving you too much freedom.

Wait, I could have sworn I shuffled by genre in beta 5 (the only beta I installed). But now I can't.
I even made a post about it, how when shuffling by genre there was a bug where it plays all songs of the artists who had a song in that genre.
Unless I was doing something else and somehow thought I was shuffling by genre but in reality was not..

That's for artist's, not genre's. Not the same thing. If I want country, or gospel, or easy listening I'd like to be able to still do that.

Everyday I'm shuffling
As far as I can tell, shuffling is not available YET in genres in iOS 7 Beta 5, although it may be added as I am an Apple Developer and it took to around iOS 6 Beta 20 before iOS 6 came out, so plenty of time for Apple to add the function! Hope this helps!

Hmmm! Well I guess I'll just have to wait till the next update comes out or the final version.
Just updated to Beta 6 and still no fix for this issue.
Beta 6 was a hot fix, fixing one specific issue with iTunes Match. Will have to wait for beta 7 or GM to see if it'll be addressed.
That's too bad. You can always take all your songs from a genre and create a playlist though, then shuffle it.
So, we now have the full version of IOS 7 and they have indeed taken away or forgotten about the option to shuffle through your genres. I loved being able to do that. I listen to a variety of music and I like to listen to different artists in a particular genre and now I can only listen to one artist in that genre.
