You know, even before I used the app, I thought it was a bad idea to change the app's name from iPod to just "Music". It seems like the app got an overhaul with iOS 5. But I'm wondering if it's for the best.

My main gripe is that when I go into artists I can no longer "shuffle" all songs from the artist.

Or am I missing something?

Overall the app is just buggy as hell and seems unfinished.

I know about the icon, and it's still there. But you know how in iOS 4 you can go into any playlist or artist and click at the top of the list "shuffle", which will play all the songs in the list? Well that option is gone.

So when you go into any artist and you would like to play all their songs, you can't. If you select a song and select the shuffle icon, it will only play all the songs from the album of the song you selected.

The only way around that so far is to create a playlist with all the artist's songs.

No lyrics support, either.
Also, when in full screen album art view, you can longer pinch in, to get back to the regular iTunes-esque UI(pinching out on the album art should bring you back to full screen too).

Don't know if I misunderstood, but you can definitely shuffle songs from an artist the same way as before - Click the artist -> All Songs -> Shuffle

EDIT: I could be wrong, thought I was posting in the iPhone forum.

If you click the note picture or the album picture while any chosen track is playing, a menu will drop down with the track duration, option to repeat and to shuffle )
