I was looking for some ideas about how to troubleshoot/revive a PowerBook G4.
It's come into my hands recently having had no history about it. The PowerBook G4 does charge, and the LED on my Charger goes from Orange to Green as the LED indicators on the Battery increase to full.
However, I have both tried turning the PowerBook on with and without the Battery but to no avail! No signs of life, no hard drive signs, no optical drive signals. The only sign of life other than the LED changing is a slight whine when the charger is inserted into the socket.
I added some new RAM but to no avail, and I've also pressed the Power button for 5 seconds with the battery out to get reset the PRAM.
I'm out of ideas now.
Anyone else got any, because I'm stumped!
Thanks in advance
Specs:
PowerBook5,8
A1138
PowerPC 7447B (G4)

2x512mb- PC2-4200 DDR2 200-pin SO-DIMM (running at 333 MHz)
